How Can You Get Your Prosperity Ball Rolling

It's little wonder that so few people are prospering these days and few are achieving the abundant, successful lives they desire. Over and over again, we see people chasing after the latest 'get rich quick' schemes. The problem here is that their thoughts and hearts need adjusted and focused on the true source of prosperity. There's a sucker born every minute. Don't be one of them. If your motives are purely selfish and only seeing dollar signs and 'what's in it for me', then you won't be seeing clearing and you'll easily be led off course. So get with the program. To prosper it is important to know that it is us working with God, the divine source and force of creative power. We must acknowledge the power of God working in us that is giving us the ability to achieve more and rise to higher levels. If we acknowledge God, then He'll direct our paths.Against all odds, there seems to be no limit to our possibilities and level of prosperity when we work with God. It is the great God force working with and through us that enables the 'impossible' to be accomplished. We see this in every invention that has helped the world along.Don't be fooled, no inventor can take personal credit for the vision which came to them ready made. Many inventors make comment that they regard themselves merely as a channel between God and the human race for the passing along of blessings that will benefit mankind."The Bible is not a book of rules, but a book of seeds." Creflo Dollar. Reference Luke 8:11 which says the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.The simple fact of the matter is this: God wants to bring abundant overflow in your life so you can be blessed to be a blessing. Get your thoughts and heart focused on the word of God. The seeds you plant in your life from the word of God have the creative power to produce growing prosperity and a full abundant life for you and those around you!

AfriChristian Commentary Oh God - Gimme Da Money

But don't let even a hint of ... greed exist among you, as is proper for saints?" (Ephesians 5:3)Recently, I searched the AOL Black Voices website and came across an article by Angela Bronner titled "The Gospel of Prosperity: Does Wealth Mean You're Blessed?" It explored the debate raging in the Christian community over whether God wants Christians to be materially wealthy, or at least financially well off.Bonner quoted a "Blender" magazine statement by wealthy hip-hop soul singer Mary J. Blige: "My God is a God who wants me to have things. He wants me to bling. He wants me to be the hottest thing on the block." Bonner says Blige is a "born-again Christian." Bonner also quotes black televangelist Creflo Dollar, whose famous sound bite is "To be broke means you lack." She lists a few of Dollar's exorbitantly rich credentials:"His World Changers megachurch, founded in Atlanta in 1986, now has over 25,000 members with an annual operating budget of over $80 million," she writes. "Dollar, who has a multi-million dollar mansion in Atlanta and two Rolls Royces, flies on his private jet every Saturday to New York City, where in October 2004, he started a congregation. He owns a $2.5 million Manhattan apartment in the exclusive Time Warner Center, and collects over $345,000 a month for the New York church."Dollar is a proponent of prosperity theology. (I'm not sure about Blige, but I do get the feeling she's a fan of some kind of prosperity gospel.) Prosperity theology advocates believe that God wants his people to financially and materially prosper and that a Christian who is not prosperous lacks the favor of God.Other promoters of prosperity theology include popular black televangelist Frederick K. C. Price, pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center in Los Angeles, and Joel Osteen, pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, which according to some surveys is the largest church in the United States. Some critics denounce prosperity theology as an unbiblical, mean-spirited, diabolical menace, a costume worn by the greedy to camouflage their greed. But to be fair, some prosperity theology proponents insist that their belief includes moral and spiritual prosperity as well, which is in line with Psalm 1:3 where "prospers" seems to encompass the material and immaterial. But there is a facet of the system which makes that claim seem menial at best. Prosperity theology emphasizes that if you are rich you're blessed; but that if you are poor you're cursed - or you're not as blessed as fully as one who's rich. In other words, for Christians, God's blessing on the rich sings the melody of favoritism, while the curse on the poor scripts a melodrama of sadness. From prosperity theology's perspective, moving a Christian from poverty to wealth is one of the reasons for the corporation of heaven's existence. Through tithing, obedience and other means, God ensures the poor of eventual financial and material wealth - at least that's what prosperity theology advocates assure us.A balanced view of scripture writes a memorandum with a different outlook. Scripture teaches that if Christians are rich they might be blessed by God, but if they are poor they may also be blessed by God. That's why a few days or weeks after Christ's resurrection "There was no one in the group who was in need. Those who owned fields or houses would sell them, bring the money received from the sale, and turn it over to the apostles; and the money was distributed according to the needs of the people." (Acts 4:34-35)What a rich instance of rich Christians loving poor Christians! What an indictment against prosperity theology!Prosperity theology, however, ignores such noble deeds, claiming they are no longer charitable or economic models, because they are socialistic or apply only to biblical times.Prosperity theology has, in essence, turned scripture against scripture. Verses now fight each other ruthlessly. They wrestle for influence over innocent minds. But the fighters are not evenly matched. Prosperity theology verses are superheavyweights, while non-prosperity theology verses are lightweights. That is, prosperity theology is fat and overweight with verses that emphasize prosperity, while the slimmer, more agile non-prosperity theology verses must move delicately to avoid being pinned. Moreover, prosperity theology hires greed and materialism to manage and train his fighters. He changes greed's name to "Blessing" and materialism's to "No Shame." He gives his fighters the nickname "God's Wealth."But balance is the key. To adore and abhor the same truths, to grin and frown at the same facts, to both love and hate material wealth is the heart of true Christianity. Hence, though Proverbs says "Be generous and you will be prosperous." (Proverbs 11:25), we're also warned not to "love the world or the things in the world." (I John 2:15). And though we're told "King Solomon was richer ... than any other king." (I Kings 10:23), Christ warns us not to "store up riches for [ourselves] here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and robbers break in and steal." (Matthew 6:19).Prosperity is deadly when it is ungodly. Happy are those who carry it in their hip pocket. Thus, if you yearn for wealth, you stand between an earthquake and a volcano. To keep the earthquake from hitting and the volcano from erupting, rise to the atmosphere of humility. If God gives you wealth, give as much as is reasonable away. If you don't have wealth, be thankful for the wealth you already have. The gospel of wealth is not the Gospel of Christ; the gospel of prosperity theology is not the Gospel of true Christianity. Scripture is no more the dog of prosperity theology than prosperity theology is the daughter of scripture.

Are You Ready to Take the 8 Steps to Having the Life You Want

So what is your greatest fear in life? What do you feel you are missing?I can honestly say that my greatest fear was of being homeless. I know what it's like to be homeless, and it's an awful situation to be in.The problem though is that in many ways I believe I set myself up for this. I don't mean to sound harsh, but sometimes we can take actions based on how we think that will cause the things we fear to happen. You can avoid giving into your fears and achieve the life you want if follow the steps Creflo Dollar has outlined in "8 Steps to Create the Life You Want."One of the most important things I learned from reading this book is the importance of scripture and reading and studying scripture on a daily basis. One of the reasons scripture is so effective is that you can use it to reprogram your mind in a positive way. Also, you discover that fear and faith can't exist in the same space. If you have faith, you won't have fear, and it will change the way you think for the better. You won't fall prey to emotional thinking, which can too easily sabotage any efforts you take to succeed. It really is that simple. It is unfortunate that too many churches don't emphasize how important scripture is. I think it's the reason so many churches are falling apart and dying. It's also the reason why so many Christians are failing in life, and they fail at a rate that is the same or higher as non believers (Divorce, finances, disease, etc). There's more. Here are the eight steps:1. Revolutionize Your Words

2. Overhaul Your Thinking

3. Take Charge of Your Emotions

4. Make Powerful Decisions

5. Evaluate Your Actions

6. Establish Healthy Habits

7. Develop Godly Character

8. Embrace Your DestinyI didn't just read this book. I looked at the steps and started taking the steps that I wasn't taking already. Now I am seeing growth in every area of my life: financial, physical, spiritual, and mental. Things that used to bother me don't bother me anymore. My bills are getting paid, I have extra money to spend, and for the first time in a long time, I'm enjoying my life, and it just keeps getting better and better. Life is just so good, and I believe that I will fulfill my God given destiny. A destiny that is even more incredible than I can ever imagine. Now understand that this is the result of reading the Bible and following Jesus Christ. If you want the type of life Jesus was talking about though, one of abundance, happiness, and just pure unadulterated joy, thenr read this book. Follow what it says. It will change your life, and it will blow you away at how wonderful your life really is. You'll achieve abundance and prosperity in EVERY area of your life. There are a lot of great books out there that will teach you how to live a satisfying Christian life. This book will take you to the next level and beyond. A must read and one of the top 15 most influential books I have ever studied and read. You definitely do not want to miss this book.

Christ Calls Pentecostals to Battle

This is a message from Jesus Christ to Pentecostal Churches. -œI am the one who has the sharp two-edged sword. I know where you live, there in those cities where Satan has spread his reign. You are true to me, but I have these things against you. There are some among you who follow the teachings of those prosperity preachers who have thought My Followers to live for themselves and not for Me. You have not shown the courage to stand against these false teachers and now I command you to turn from your sins and take up My two-edged sword and fight against those people that lead My Followers astray. To those who win the victory I will give some of the bread of My body and I will also give each of them a white stone with their new heavenly name known only to those who receive it. I challenge you to shed your sin soiled clothes, to put on My White Linens, to join the Armies of Heaven, and to help me restore My Church. If you have ears, then, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.- The Prosperity Gospel traces it's roots to EW Kenyon and the Word of Faith movement. Contrary to the traditional view of Jesus as a poor, wandering teacher, the prosperity theology followed by the Word of Faith movement believes that Jesus and His Apostles were financially wealthy, owning homes, and having monetary resources and businesses. Under the truest doctrine of the Prosperity Gospel, they believe that if someone is not experiencing prosperity it is because they have given control of their life to Satan. Following Kenyon, Kenneth Hagin took up the mantel of prosperity theology and taught that -œmaterial prosperity was a redemptive blessing.- Some of the more prominent disciples of Hagin and the Prosperity Gospel include Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copland, Joyce Meyer, Benny Hinn, and Joel Osteen. In his later years, Hagin turned against the Prosperity Gospel and warned Christ's followers about the darkness of greed. In receiving this message from Jesus Christ, I was surprised when He used the word -œcommand.- For in this message, Christ is stepping out in front of the Armies of Heaven and commanding the Pentecostal Churches, as well as all other Christian Churches, to go to battle against the thousands of Prosperity Preachers who fill the pulpits of His Churches. In His original letter to the church at Pergamum, Christ said that He would battle against them. Now, He has commanded His Followers to wield His two-edged sword and fight against the Prosperity Preachers and the dark forces of greed. In the United States, greed is essential to the American Dream and our Capitalistic Society and, in my opinion, Christians in the US will not follow Christ's Command. For we are a nation that lives and dies by the dollar with a long history of following the path of greed, even to our destruction, and of ignoring the faithful and true Word of God. Jesus Christ is now calling Christians everywhere to experience Spiritual Birth, to store up Heavenly Riches, to live a Divine Spiritual Life, to join the Armies of Heaven, to fight for Church Reform, and to prepare the church for His Second Coming. John Meacham is a Christian Author and Prophet for Jesus Christ who has authored four Christian books and served Christ's Church as a Pastor, Preacher, Workshop Leader, Bible Study Instructor, and Teacher ( www.johnmeacham.tateauthor.com ).

Fifth Step on the Walk to Faith - God TV

Christian TV broadcasting arouses all sorts of sentiments both from within the church and outside. Some people can't stop watching it, others think it's manipulative and profiteering. The best thing to do is to make your own mind up. I have been through the full cycle from being glued to it on a daily basis, hanging onto every word of my favourite preachers, Joyce Meyers, Creflo Dollar, Ken Copeland, and many others, to not being able to watch it at all because of the incessant advertising and self-promotion which I found distasteful. Some people think they express extreme right wing views.Whatever your think about the ethical standards or political beliefs of the producers of these programmers there is no doubt in my mind that you can only benefit from the lessons broadcasted. The preachers featured on these shows know their faith, know the Bible, and know God. Some would say that's good enough recommendation! And just maybe, the reason many of them have been blessed with wealth is because of their righteousness and their willingness to do God's work no matter what.My own personal testimony is that I have without doubt being healed as a result of watching God Tv and in particular the 700 Club presented by Pat Robertson. I was living in Scotland at the time, the other side of the world as far as the 700 Club is concerned, and was watching the programme while I was unemployed at around 2 in the afternoon. I had been suffering with bad arthritic pain in both hands, beginning from the little fingers and creeping across, and had been anxious about losing the ability to type. A nightmare prospect for a writer! There are 3 reasons which make me absolutely certain that it was a faith healing I experienced:1. The show features a "word of knowledge" section where the presenters receive knowledge of a particular healing and describe it on camera. I think it was Pat Robertson's son who began. He indicated the edges of his hands, the little finger side, and said someone was being healed.2. At that moment I felt intense heat in my hands. It was a moment or two before I realised the pain had gone. The thought dawned on me that I had been healed by divine intervention.3. As a final affirmation, Mr Robertson finished the show by saying: "This goes out to all of you, God Bless You, even you out there in Scotland!" I was gob-smacked. Why would he say that? Why Scotland? I had never heard him mention Scotland in that way before despite having watched hundreds of these programmes. Miracle or coincidence? I knew.So watch God TV and wait for a miracle to happen. If you are praying, reading your Bible, and sincere in your faith, something will occur. When it does, you will be fired with belief, and well on your way to completing the most amazing journey of your life. Next step, a word on prayer.

How to Create Endless Streams of Income Through the Power of the Tongue

All that you ever desire in life including everlasting wealth can become yours depending on the words with which you express yourself. Words have the power to induce laughter, tears, or create unlimited income stream.

Words can make you a millionaire overnight depending on how it is used. When words are spoken, the added factor of voice vocalization, emphasis and emotion gives it more potential to make impact. This may sound strange, but the fact remains that few individuals have been able to exploit the hidden wealth in the spoken word, thus helping themselves to obscene wealth and endless income streams. These individuals include: motivational speaker, stand up comedians and musical artiste. They have fully utilized the creative power of the tongue to create an endless income stream even as they go about enjoying themselves and making people happy.Their tongues are not just ordinary tongues, but tongues laced with wisdom, power and uncommon knowledge. They are so hot in demand, that some have the luxury of canceling engagement or shows. These wealthy individuals were able to discover the unique gift embedded in their tongues, and made maximum impact with it. Brian Tracy, Stephen Covey, Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, Napoleon Hill, Mark Victor Hansen, Creflo Dollar, TD Jakes, David Oyedepo, Myles Munroe,Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Norman Vincent Peale and Robert Allen are just few of the individuals making exploits and using their gifted tongues to create endless income streams.Stand up comedians were never taken seriously some years back, and many were even branded as lazy and psychologically deranged. Their fortunes have however changed positively over the past 20 years, as they have become highly sought after. Their stock in trade is their witty tongues and the ability to make others laugh. What about the musicians who have continued to uplift the hearts of men, women and even children with sonorous songs. They have won for themselves Grammy Awards, Dove Awards and international accolades. The albums of some these renowned artistes have sold out more than a million copies in the music market, and they have left their foot print in the sand of history. Their rise to fame and wealth was a function of their discovering the hidden gift in their tongue. There is a hidden wealth that may be lying within you, fallow and unproductive.

Others may be able to identify that hidden gift or talent in you and save you from living a miserable and wretched life, but it is the individuals responsibility to identify God's hidden wealth in his/her life.I strongly believe that every individual has a little deposit of gold-mine in his/her tongue, right from childhood. The difference lies in the proportion of deposits and the ability to use the little God has deposited. Lack of usage may eventually lead to total loss of such gifts.Whatever gift lying inside of you, remember this: "You can achieve an endless income stream, as long as you make maximum use of that gift or talent"

Why Lord Jesus Christ is my Savior and my One True LORD God Almighty

The censer burned incense around my grandmother's dead body. The complete and utter wretchedness of who I was hit me. My tears mourned for her and the little girl she used to take to church almost every Sunday. Promising to love God and fortyish years later how far away was I from that simple, pure love for Him. Later that night on TBN, Creflo Dollar preached about the cross and forgiveness. What happened after was AMAZING. The rest is for another time to describe. God is good. The book of Isaiah is called the mini bible. Two scriptures I would like to note first thing. Galatians 6:13 Not even those who are circumcised obey the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your flesh. 14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation. 16 Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God. http://www.biblestudytools.com/isaiah/53.html and 54. (Actually, the chapters before and after are a beautiful study.) He was like that, but now He is risen and sitting on the throne of Mercy in Righteousness. Everything in 53 is done and finished, because He suffered the debt for sin. It is paid. When the World Rejects you; He is there. Okay, I hear all the criticisms and skeptic voices now. (Not literal, just figurative.) Usually, when writing about religion it starts with disclaimers and correctness that makes whatever truth or reality suspect. That's the world. What!?! Exactly. As one of my grown children would say, -œIt's not that serious.- I'd have to say, -œI agree.- It's really not that serious. When having a conversation about how and who we are it really is not so deep. It can be, but it's not. We are His and He is ours. Simple. Don't believe me? Okay. Try this. Give up something important to you that you -œlove- for one week. When it gets tough, then ask yourself if what you love is the thing or Him more. It's called fasting and prayer. Deep down you will find a strength and grace for patiently enduring any suffering you may experience in putting that under His Love. First things first. Start the journey now. Define, then refine. Two of my favorite authors in seeking are: http://www.ec-online.net/Knowledge/Articles/rickmoody.html http://careofthesoul.net/ All the things and people that we let steal our joy are not meant to have that power over us. Practice breaking the hold that the world has on you and be set apart in His Love. When I was forty He met me where I was and changed my life for the better. Now the journey just gets better. Ask. Seek. Knock. "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Thessalonians 5:23) Why God loves the world patiently and completely in His Holiness. How many times do we hear someone ask us if God is loving, then why does He permit evil and sin? You know, the angry or other emotionally indignant response to the seemingly polars between God and the world. God is love. God is Holy. God wants to save us. That seems to be weighed on one hand. Then the perplexing thoughts of senseless and unfathomable cruelty. Hate. Murder. Greed. Lies. Evil. The extreme on the other. How do they coexist? The dictionary itself seems to disagree with itself on what coexist means. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/coexist states that: coexist [?k???g'z?st] vb (intr) 1. to exist together at the same time or in the same place 2. to exist together in peace As a verb there is action implied. Living together is not always existing in peace. While the first may be true; the latter is definitely not. For every action there is a reaction. Yes. It's just illogical to claim they live in peace really. Consider the difference between peacekeeping and peacemaking. Does good and evil exist together in peace? Let's define evil, then good. Evil is selfish; goodness is a virtue. Ezekiel 28:12-19 (NIV) A few things become very clear in this passage. Why is the son of man to take up a lament? Well, to mourn for someone turning away from perfection and God's Holy Goodness is something to cry about. Especially concerning the final outcome in verse nineteen. This also answers the question of whether or not God will endure evil forever. The answer is no. We suffer because of the choices and actions made in the Garden. So instead of having to throw everyone out forever, God graciously lets us see the consequence of sin and death. There is a plan for salvation. His name is Lord Jesus Christ. To define good and name God good is to call Him Holy. Holy means whole or complete. There is nothing lacking in the quality or personhood of Who He Is. The Lord God Almighty is One and The Lord God Almighty is Righteousness and He Is the Great I Am. http://bible.cc/john/3-16.htm for a deeper look. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Rebellion, death, destruction and sin through one; Obedience, life, restoration and atonement through another. One seeks after his own, while one seeks after others. What do you give up really? 5 Yeshua answered, "Yes, indeed, I tell you that unless a person is born from water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. 6 What is born from the flesh is flesh, and what is born from the Spirit is spirit. Stop being amazed at my telling you that you must be born again 7 from above! 8 The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but you don't know where it comes from or where it's going. That's how it is with everyone who has been born from the Spirit." Complete Jewish Bible I remember saying I loved God with a cross around my neck and acting like a ninny. Picking up the bible and trying to read it was difficult if not impossible. So, why the 360? Someone cared enough to tell me about the gospel. He meets you where you are, you realize He will never fail you, and accept you are wretched without Him. In my heart, the Holy Spirit guides me to the Way, The Truth and the Life of Jesus Christ. He is Perfect and He made a way for me to be with Him. Thank You Jesus! forever grateful, your daughter ps. Now I believe, my thirst is stronger for Him. If you hunger and thirst for righteousness, then look up http://www.hebrew4christians.com/ and discover the whole story. I pray you eat from His table the bread of life and draw closer to your Maker. Bless you.

Great Expectations - the Effect of Expectations on Your Faith

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

-- Hebrews 11:1If faith is the substance of things hoped for, what, then is hope? I turned to Miriam Webster to see what the dictionary definition of the word "hope" is, and this is what I found:1: to cherish a desire with anticipation

2 archaic: trustOR1: to desire with expectation of obtainment

2: to expect with confidence: trust- hope against hope: to hope without any basis for expecting fulfillmentSo, we see that hope involves anticipation and trust in the desired outcome. It isn't the wishy-washy term that it seems to have degenerated to in our common street language. Apparently, hope used to actually mean something! When you hoped, you desired with expectation of obtainment. It wasn't a "maybe it will, maybe it won't" situation. It was an expectation that had confidence and trust attached to it. Or as Creflo Dollar would say, you "have your neck out" for something. The definition for hope against hope is to "hope without any basis for expecting fulfillment". I would revise this to say without any natural basis for expecting fulfillment. But, we don't operate in the natural with faith and hope, we operate in the supernatural. In that realm, our hope and our faith are the mediums of exchange. So, is it possible to have faith and not see the manifestation of your desire? You bet!Take a look at Acts 14:8-10. In this passage, a man who has been crippled since birth has been sitting daily at gates to the city. It is likely that Jesus himself passed by this man many times throughout his ministry. Yet, the man never received his healing. That is, until one day when Paul came along. In verse 9 we are told that Paul "...stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet." Instantly, the man jumped up to his feet and walked. But, read that again "perceiving that he had faith to be healed." So, he already had faith to be healed, Paul just recognized it and called on the man to act on his faith. So, it's entirely possible to have faith, not draw upon the anointing and not receive! Now, let's look at the reverse situation. Take a look at Mark 5:25-34. This is the story of the woman with the issue of blood. She suffered with her condition for 12 years, going from one doctor to another, and still wasn't cured -- in fact, she was worse! But, she kept hearing about a man named Jesus and the miracles that he performed. She built up faith in her heart (remember, faith comes from hearing!). Risking death (she could have been stoned for going in public with her illness), she came up behind Jesus and touched his garment and was instantly healed.Notice, Jesus didn't do anything here. He was simply the vessel for the anointing. He didn't lay hands on her. He didn't pray over her. He didn't heal her. But he knew instantly that the power, the anointing, had left him and that someone had been healed. When the woman had told him her story, he simply said: "Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague."Her expectation placed a demand on the anointing.Think of it this way. The anointing is like electricity. Your house is wired for electricity. You have lights installed. You have an active account with the electric company. But, if you never flip the switch, you'll remain in darkness. Faith works just like that. Just like you have to place a demand on electricity -- you have to flip the faith switch on in order to receive. Ask yourself today "What am I expecting?" Have you placed a demand on the anointing? Many thanks to Pastor Tony Sparks who taught a magnificent lesson on this subject last Wednesday.

Discover 3 Classic Self-Esteem Killers - 3 Do's and Don'ts For Overcoming the Born Loser Mentality

You have to believe on the inside what you want to become on the outside - Creflo DollarMany people who struggle with low self-esteem have tried so hard to get a hold of their life in vain. They try this and then they do that, only to find that it didn't work out the way they hoped it would.I know, because I've been there. And not precisely as a young teenager. Even as a highly educated adult, I was a mistake waiting to happen in everything I endeavored. Until I discovered the guaranteed winning formula: to quit trying for myself and surrendering to God instead. I received a powerful revelation: He is smarter than I am.He taught me how precious I was to Him and how much He valued my life and everything I did in it. I also realized that I had been trapped in a loser mentality for years.Following are three classic self-esteem killers I discovered:Number 1Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Our society has erroneously taught us that mistakes are bad. In reality, they are most powerful learning tools. We learn a lot by making mistakes.I recently heard a well-known and successful Internet Marketer say, "The worst thing that can happen to you is to have success right away when you start out on a new business." Now, that is an eye-opening statement!Do learn from your mistakes and then keep on going. Don't throw in the towel. Successful people make a lot of mistakes. They learn from their mistakes and acquire valuable wisdom that way.Number 2Don't compare yourself to others. We sometimes have the tendency to think that others have everything figured out. That is not true. Everybody has his own share of worries and struggles. The difference only lies in how we view them. It is the same old glass half-full vs. glass half-empty mentality.Do accept that you are special. You are unique and have exactly the same possibility to prosper in all areas of life as anybody else has. God has given you a unique combination of talents and gifts and has designed a tailor-made plan for you to walk in.Number 3Don't try to find your worthiness inside yourself and in what you could possibly achieve by your mere human efforts. Even the smartest human being can not do that. The Bible states that our human righteousness is like filthy rags to God.But the good news is that He made us righteous, acceptable and worthy by sending His Son Jesus Christ.Do find your true value in what Jesus did for you. He died so that your relationship to God could be restored. By walking with Him you will find the fulfillment you have always wanted to have.

Mind Development - The Power of Your Mind

The first time that I realized how powerful the mind is was when a friend gave me a book called "Emotional Prisoner" by Jose Villegas III. After I read "Emotional Prisoner", I began to understand that the person who I am today is based on all of the beliefs that I have developed in the past and up to this point. This book gave me hope that I could change my condition if only I changed what I believed. Jose Villegas III stressed that it was the individual's responsibility to change their own situation by improving their self and and expanding their mind through reading.Read to Improve Your Confidence The books that gave me the confidence to pursue my vision as a writer and to rid myself of the idea that I was not going to get rich by working as an employee were Asha Tyson's book "How I Retired at 26" and Robert Kiosawki's book "Rich Dad Poor Dad". Like Jose Villegas III, Robert Kiosawki is a believer in reading books to improve your self. Throughout his book he generously referred the titles and authors of books that aided him in his development. One such author was Catherine Ponder.Catherine Ponder caused my development to soar. Her writings instilled in me that prosperity was my right and to be poor was a sin. She taught me the power of commanding your good to appear through affirmations. I started reciting the affirmations that she had in her books "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity" and "The Millionaires of the Bible series" and they worked!Claim Your Victory TodayI began to see positive changes in my life because I learned to release the ideas that I had developed over time and that were limiting my growth and I replaced those defeating ideas with prosperous ideas. The other authors that aided me in developing a prosperity consciousness were Dr. Joseph Murphy, Florence Scovel Schinn and Michael Losier.Catherine Ponder taught me about affirmations but it was Dr. Creflo A. Dollar in his book "Claim Your Victory Today" who showed me how to get my own affirmations from the bible by finding God's promises and affirming His promises. The most influential book on my bookshelf is the Holy Bible. The author who brought everything together for me and helped me to read the Holy Bible on a spiritual level was Wallace Wattles. After I read his book "The Science of Getting Rich" I was able to find God inside of me. I also gained an understanding of how to create wealth for myself and not compete for wealth with others

Stop Tickling My Ear

Given my position as a newly ordained minister, I feel a tremendous sense of responsibility knowing there are people who will look to me for guidance when making significant life choices. Understanding that I may be the only connection that some people will ever have with God, I am often consumed with fear. Fear that I will, in ignorance, lead them astray. Fear that my imperfection and flawed humanity will cause some to think that God is as screwed up as I am.There are those who may base their decision to attend church or not attend church, to believe in God or not believe in God on their interaction with me. So I try, at times without success, to live according to God's instruction. Regrettably, I am often left with the impression that some of my contemporaries don't share the same anxiety I feel when it comes to this awe-inspiring responsibility. The leading and teaching of God's people according to his will and his word is not to be taken lightly. Nor should it be entered into with an eye on personal gain or ego boosting accolades. The bible is clear when it comes to this matter (James 3:1, I Peter 5:1-3). What has greatly angered me since my Christian faith became paramount in my life (March 1999), is the significant number of Pastors and Preachers who are deceiving the church. They misrepresent God by passing their own personal philosophies off as God's word. Some live blatantly sinful lives. While others sell meaningless trinkets or teach worthless nuggets of biblical information, all to the advancement of their "ministry". Not a day goes by that a sincere hearted child of God can't find some jack-legged preacher selling the latest holy get rich quick scheme. Oils, keys, anointed rags, holy manna crackers, you name it and some crackpot minister of the gospel has found a way to convince God's people that what he or she is "giving away" is the real deal. The magical, oops I mean, "supernatural" way to get everything they want. The key to all their stored up wealth and riches are supposedly contain in seven easy steps. Or some dollar store dust rag being pawned off as anointed. I've seen world renowned preacher "Dr" Creflo Dollar stand before his congregation and reinterpret scripture while the biblical passage he read from was right before their eyes. Some years ago World Chargers International Ministries aired a service where Mr. Dollar read from Romans chapter 8 verse 19, "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God" (KJV). Mr. Dollar (I call him Mr. Dollar because, I don't feel he's worthy of the title Dr), after reading the passage, told his congregation that this scripture did not mean that creation was waiting for the sons of God to be manifested. He said that was not what the scripture meant. Pastor Dollar submitted that creation was waiting for the sons of God to show up "with manifestations". The possession of these manifestations was confirmation of their position as a son/daughter of God. These manifestations would be evident by such things as healing the sick, walking on water, living after a snake bite and raising the dead.As I gasped for air I immediately got a headache from the over expansion of my mouth and eyes. I was sure I had misunderstood him. Of course he had to be kidding. But to my continued horror, he said it, again. My immediate response was, "You've got to be kidding". Followed by anger and the thought that he himself must not be a true son of God (I was pretty sure he had not done any of these things), off into T.V. Neverland I sent Pastor Dollar and the dung filled horse he rides on. He stands as a man claiming to preach the true word of God with simplicity and understanding. Unfortunately he himself appears to have very little understanding of the word of God. I often wonder if he has ever read the bible. Not merely to locate a catchy sermon title. But really, really read the bible. Staying true to his character he displayed his true gifting as a hype artist, merely leading his weekly pep rallies. Pep rallies that get people excited, amped up and motivated to give until it hurts (in the name of Jesus). Yet leaving them with no real life solutions to their everyday challenges. How often has Pastor Dollar's congregation been given practical solutions to life's real issues without the emotional fluff?Unfortunately, any seemly practical message Pastor Dollar has ever preached came by way of teachings universal among all the major religions. Or from biblical scripture that he has taken out of context to convey a predetermined message. He often quotes scripture that contains wording which helps to get his intended message across, but more often then not is no where near its contextual base. Granted World Changers International may do good in its local community. But so did Teflon Don (John Gotti for you gangster novice). Christianity is overrunning with real life solutions for real life issues. However, because of preachers like Creflo Dollar, who focus on the hype, fanfare and emotional charging up of the people, Christians are routinely left with nothing more than false hope for their challenges. This is unfortunate because, God has provided all that we need to deal with this life in the scriptures. These charlatans and con men are able to succeed in leading the church astray because most Christians are not well versed in scripture. Most of us have a handful of passages that we faithfully quote every Sunday and every bible study. But for the most part Christians do not know the bible or its historical and cultural foundation. Until we do we will continue to be satisfied, not with a truth that can make us free, but with a delicate feathered tongue that merely tickles our ear.

Leadership - Do You Have It

If you could improve your results by 25-30% what would that mean to you? There is no magic formula or product to offer. However, sustainable, measurable results of 25-30% increase in productivity IS possible--the answer lies in one word...leadership. Sales are important, marketing is important, PR is important, but without leadership they will all eventually fall short. Leadership is a word frequently misunderstood and misused. Dr. Creflo Dollar has said "If you don't know the purpose of a thing, abuse is inevitable." The same holds true for leadership. Leadership is not based on position or even job function. There are often people who are in positions of "leadership" that do not exhibit leadership skills. Likewise, there are "leaders" throughout an organization who, because they lack the "title," are not given the opportunity to lead. Everyone has leadership potential; however, it must be developed and true leadership must be understood. Of all the definitions of leadership, Peter F. Drucker says it best, "Leadership is not magnetic personality, that can just as well be a glib tongue. It is not "making friends and influencing people", that is flattery. Leadership is lifting a person's vision to higher sights, the raising of a person's performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations." Why is leadership so important? John Maxwell calls it the "Law of the Lid:" a business or organization can only grow to the limits of its leadership. If the leadership is weak, it doesn't matter how great the concept, product or service, it will never achieve financial greatness or market dominance. Fail-Safe Leadership authors Linda Martin and Dr. David Mutchler identified symptoms of ineffective leadership, some of which are listed below (take the full leadership test to see how your organization fares): · Excessive meetings · Lack of personal accountability · Difficulty terminating poor performers Other symptoms include: · Unclear (or complete lack of) organizational goals · Cliques (among management/leadership team) · Declining customer/membership base An organization that reflects any combination of the above symptoms may have a leadership challenge. That is not to say there are no leaders, or that you, the reader, are an ineffective leader, it does mean a leadership challenge exists. While these symptoms have dire consequences if not corrected, they can be changed. HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR LEADERSHIP Before you can expect improved results, there must be a positive behavior change. Any change in behavior is a result of goals that are set (the best goal setting process includes the five critical core elements of goal setting). However, the key to achieving goals rests in our attitude. You may have heard this poem: Watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words, they become actions. Watch your actions, they become habits. Watch your habits, they become character. Watch your character, it becomes your destiny. (Unknown) You can not expect sustained, measurable improvement in your results without first changing the attitudes of your leaders. The many "New Year's Resolutions" that have been set and failed is a perfect illustration. Goals were set, intentions were good but two things happened: 1) you didn't change your attitude about the habit being changed, and 2) you failed to use all five of the critical elements of goal setting, primarily the consideration of obstacles. Think about it, nothing truly changes until we change our attitude about it. Depending on the organization and its current leadership, this may not be an exercise that can be done without a neutral third party to assist. When habits are entrenched they are hard to see and fear of loss (of control) causes people to become territorial and move into a self-preservation mode. Whether you attempt to improve your leadership yourself or involve a third party, do not begin this exercise if you are not totally and 100% committed to it. One of the biggest mistakes organizations make is to begin down the road of self-improvement but when it becomes hard or "touches too close to home," they discontinue the journey and what began with promise ends as an exercise in futility. Each time this happens, trust is eroded and a "can't do" or "don't care" attitude grows within the organization. Consider your best approach and in the meantime, ask yourself these questions: 1. Am I an effective leader (not manager)? Would I follow me? Why? 2. Do I display the core values of the organization (whether people are looking or not)? 3. Do people obey me or follow me? The answers to those questions may be revealing. Leadership--it just might be the answer to growth that's been eluding you. Now, one last question... If you aren't getting the results you want...what is the impact if you do nothing? Author bio Arthur F. Carmazzi is the Principal founder of the Directive Communication Methodology and has 19 years experience specializing in psychological approaches to workforce enhancement and corporate culture transformation arthur carmazzi and arthur carmazzi leadership guru

The Faded Light of the Gospel in the West and Its Devastating Consequences on Western Societies

Right there with the dog, history is one of man's best friends; and certain matters of any age would never be fully understood without their proper historical perspective. In this same vein, the uncanny fading of the gospel's light in Western societies cannot be fully comprehended without its proper historical perspective. During the medieval period, the Christian Church was the principal agency of formal learning in Europe. This was mainly due to the massive, wholesale destruction of the Western Roman Empire and the surreal decline that unfolded upon the earth in its aftermath. However, towards the end of the middle ages, things began to change. The rise of the Renaissance engendered a fresh stream of historical currents that turned the tide of things against Christianity. The feverish revival of learning in Europe took the transmission of knowledge out of the hands of the Christian Church and handed it to secular institutions unfriendly to the cause of the gospel's message of love and brotherhood. One thing led to another, and the world has never been the same ever since. The Renaissance gave birth to the Enlightenment period-a dramatic, historical watershed-which lasted somewhere between 1650 and 1800. While historians disagree on the exact time span of this mysterious period of European history; they all lost sight of the fact that this tenebrous period of history has never really ended, as so much of postmodern life today reflects the very essence of this strange historical time. The Enlightenment Age's focus on changing human society through fresh knowledge and sober dialogue based on reason snatched control of societal thought from the Christian Church. The people who spearheaded this trenchant movement were called philosophes. These evil societal engineers had a different type of society in mind from the one envisioned by the God of the Bible. They realized that, if they could remove the Bible from the dynamic market square of ideas and replace it with a humanistic approach to molding society, they could essentially transmute it into whatever they had mind.Virtually all historians have missed this delicate nuance about the Enlightenment Age. The atheistic philosophes had made deadly accurate assumptions; and slowly and surely, things began to shift in the exact order that these deists and occult artists had envisioned. The fulgent light of the gospel slowly but surely began to fade. In the meantime; these clever, vulpine societal architects engineered the French Revolution, one of the worst killing sprees in human history. They virtually destroyed all of Europe's monarchies, promising a better way of life to its peoples. Even Robespierre, an occult operative from the pictorial showroom of the philosophes' evil genius, tried to rid French society of Christianity by introducing his own brand of false religion called "The Cult of the Supreme Being Church!." Though Robespierre was brashly removed from the scene; his perverse, devilish ideas have lived on even to this day.The renaissance also inspired another critical historical period that somewhat coincided with the Age of Enlightenment. This powerful, epochal period was the industrial revolution in Europe. It started in England, and then spread to the rest of Europe and eventually to North America. As a result of the rabid activity of modern science, a stream of inventions produced an avalanche of amenities. The discovery of coal as an energy source and the invention of the steam engine transformed life in Europe; turning that continent into a titanic, urban industrial powerhouse; thus eclipsing the advancement of the Moslem civilization to the east. As these pulsating urban centers became dynamic hubs of employment and powerful population magnets, they triggered the greatest demographic migration pattern in history. People began leaving rural areas and moving to cities in droves; and within a short time, most people in Europe and North America lived in cities. With this mammoth population shift came dramatic sociological changes, creating a phenomenal urban power system fueled by rapid urban industrial growth. The new immigrants were quickly indoctrinated with the philosophy of the dashing philosophes. They left their Christian table manners at home in the countryside and quickly adapted to urban ways. One of those ways was a blunt snubbing and rejection of the Christian thought system and culture; and, within a very short period of time, things began to change very dramatically. The mushrooming growth of sodomy and prostitution gave way to a rash of alternative lifestyles. Western civilization was transformed from a Christian culture to a pagan band of men and women.Initially, the societal taboos held fairly steady and America continued to fund the gospel. Periodically, there were glimpses of heaven, particularly in the American Bible Belt. Great preachers and faith healers emerged during this period, lasting anywhere from the late nineteenth century to the middle of the twentieth century. Then America began to change course. It too began to snub the gospel message. Around this same time; many philosophes, bent on destroying the Christian Church, camouflaged as Christians and started Christian churches that denied virtually all the core principles of the Bible. This movement started around 1949 and has picked up pace ever since. Accordingly, American Christianity became synonymous with hypocrisy and gimmickry. Phony, celebrated pastors, clad in purple and fine linen, cavalierly promise their parishioners heaven--and all of earth as well. Their rags to riches sermons, replete with guile and falsehood, filled the itching ears of churchgoers with the exact music that they want to hear. These cruel, edacious pastors promised pew warmers things that not even God himself would deliver; and, within the space of half an hour, the offering basket had made its twentieth round in the service. When all has been said and done, these slippery pastors have done more damage to the Christian message than the harshest Moslem regime in the world. Parishioners left their services more emotionally bruised and morally bankrupt, busted, and disgusted than when they came. In the final analysis, after all the games and gimmickry, no one has had a genuine change of heart; no one has gotten any closer to Jesus than the root of a tree. And today, people leave these services broke, confused, and lost in a world where meaning and truth are in very short supply. At the same time, these purse-snatching philosophes (sham preachers) walk away scot-free and Christianity's real virtues get lost in the smoke of all this charade. It ought to be made abundantly clear that false Christianity must not be confused with the pure truth of the Bible. The lifestyle of dark, corrupt people who opt to toy with God must not be beclouded with the truth of the Bible. There are thousands of philosophes in the pulpit on Sundays whose agendas are dark and sinister. And they are not there to glorify the resurrected Christ: They are there to destroy the Christian church. And to make matters even worst, the church used to be a place of moral safety and spiritual cleansing-a refuge from the termagant storms of life. Not anymore! One of the most dangerous places in American society today is the Christian Church. Why is this so? This is because the Christian Church in America has sold out to the minions of evil (greed, lust, lies, and cover-ups). Not many are willing to stand up and speak the truth anymore: Ministers now compromise the truth of the Bible, mess around, and play games-church games. Whenever something ceases to function in the capacity for which it was made, it turns into a nuisance; and the Christian church in America has abdicated its responsibility to serve as the authentic mouthpiece of God himself on the earth. Accordingly, it has lost its salt and savor: it has lost its ability to preserve society from the putridinous influence of witchcraft, sodomy and a host of other evils. And that is the reason that America is the leading witchcraft center in the world today. This is mainly because the false American Church has lost its ability to preserve society from the ravages of evil. Today, the Christian Church in America has one of the highest divorce rates in the world. People reading the Bible now divorce their spouses like they change their shoes. And it would not have been so bad if this phenomenon was transpiring only among congregation members: Divorce in the church is just as common among the pastors as it is among congregants; in fact, many pastors today have their own wives and a colorful retinue of mistresses. It is not unusual even to find pastors on the down low, and sodomy is just as common in some church-going circles as it is in secular society. In certain brand-named churches, pedophilia is rampant among priests; and the damage that these depraved human beings have inflicted on the church and society is incalculable and irreparable. All this senseless moral corruption has led to the fall of the Christian Church in the West and to the decline of Western civilization. But this is the type of mockery of God that the philosophes have introduced into the Christian Church. By no means do all Christian pastors fit this mold of venality, depravity, and corruption. There have been--and there are-many noble and reputable Christian ministers out there who adopt and follow a pure, Biblical theology. Well, there have been A.A. Allen, Oral Roberts, Robert Schambauch, Fred Price, Creflo Dollar, and a host of other distinguished generals of the faith. Their lives have stood the test of time and have passed every lie detector test.Christianity's easy access by virtually anyone has allowed odious philosophes with devastating hidden agendas to enter the arena of faith, bring dishonor upon the pure Christian way, and cause the masses in Western societies to reject it. The terrible damage this has done has been virtually irreparable. In the wake of the West's snubbing of, and turning away from, the Christian Church; this surreal fall of the gospel message has led to the abolition of morality in the West and the marginalization of golden Western values and traditions-traditions which have withstood the test of time. Accordingly, life in Western societies is just not what it used to be: so many moral values and principles have been blurred and switched around; for a lot people, life is not even worth living anymore. Suicide has grown exponentially since the middle of the twentieth century. Things are just not the same anymore: Thanksgiving to God is now "I'm thankful for XYZ as if they are talking to the devil way out in the blue; the name of God almost never gets mentioned. It's been lost in the fog of moral decay. Christmas is now the Winter Holidays; Lent, a time of quiet reflection. Shacking up is having an affair; adultery is called an extra-marital affair; and frightening police shoot outs with violent criminals in the streets, who do not respect the law, are called police activity. Sodomy is referred to as being happy, and marriage is now a union between two persons. How long the West can continue to put up this ridiculous front and resist the brawling fires of Sodom and Gomorrah is anybody's guess. Whatever the case may be, the steep decline of life's quality in Western societies is an ominous warning to all those philosophes and societal engineers who've opted to play God with morality and the natural order of things. The faded light of truth has led to the collapse of morality in the West, which is rapidly causing the unraveling of Western societies; and, in the wake of this massive, wholesale moral collapse; the attendant rise of corruption and ochlocracy has been frightening and breath-taking, to say the least! In most Western societies; a sizable number of politicians and societal magnates waste away, serving stiff prison terms for a wide array of serious breaches of the law. Well, just to name a few; many have been jailed for a host of malfeasant deeds, including demanding to be paid for Barak Obama's senate seat; money laundering; prostitution; murder; graft; perjury; financial kickbacks; dirty, under the table deals; stealing or distorting the use campaign finances; and on and on the long, Nile-like list goes.Shoot outs on school campuses and in work-places once unheard of, are now ordinary news stories. Middle school girls, hardly out of diapers, shamelessly showcase awkward pregnancies on public school campuses. Girls, sheared of innocence, sputter profanities way down the hall way with impunity. They curse their teachers and their parents, using the vilest of words in the English. University professor and presidents conduct sprawling call girl rings in the bold mirror of public life. Alcoholism, prostitution, and frat-house outfits on college campuses hardly raise an eye brow. Much of this rampant moral decay and societal ruin are due to the switching of the morals and fading of the moral boundaries so desperately needed to protect and preserve society from the vices and ravages of evil. And unless dramatic changes, moving in the opposite directions, transpire soon; the implosion and collapse of Western societies are a take it to the bank certainty. This unanswerable fact has already begun to manifest itself in the exponential growth of nature's wrath in a variety of ways. F-Four and F-Five tornadoes now grind whole cities to shreds; storms, tsunamis, and tidal waves reduce coastal communities to debris; killer earthquakes, nine on the Richter scale, transmogrify cities into war zones and museums of ruin; and stubborn, uncanny recessions virtually put everyone on the streets and in long food pantry lines; practically turning the West into one giant, sprawling poorhouse. Saddled with a towering mountain of debt, the European Union's and United States' economies are on the brink of collapse. While contemporary philosophes are busy tampering with nature and her moral laws; nature herself is busy turning their world upside-down, tossing eighteen wheelers about like toy cars on the tops of tilted buildings about to fall to the ground. These shocking, surreal horror stories are directly related to Western societies' engineers' wanton tampering with the enginery of nature's laws.

5 Great Health Tips For Type II Diabetes

In order to control or even reverse Type II diabetes, one the main things you need to do is control the release of insulin. Here are 5 tips to help you:1. Minimize the use of grains, even whole grains. , The reason for this is that even cooked whole grains are starchy and will cause a spike in sugar levels, thus needing to dump more insulin.2. Use Extra Virgin Coconut Oil when cooking., It is the most stable at high temperatures and will not turn to transfat, a very deadly form of fat. Coconut oil has many benefits including the fact that it is anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-microbial. Although it is a saturated fat, it is a healthy fat that will not promote artery clogging.3. Use Extra Virgin Olive Oil on salads., It's great to mix this with lemon juice or even vinegar. Vinegar has been shown to slash blood sugar in studies, so go ahead and use it as well.4. Eat avocados., We all need good fats in our diets, and avocados are one of the best. If you don't like them, start trying to acquire a taste for them. I never liked them, but I eat them in salads a lot now just because I know how good they are for you. Not only do they help lower cholesterol, but they will help to slow the release of sugar in the body and accordingly, this will help with controlling insulin.5. Get moving!, Exercise is one of the best ways to get control of insulin levels. Even if it's just 30 minutes a day, get moving. I personally LOVE the mini-trampoline. I jump every morning while watching my favorite preachers (Paula White, or Joyce Meyer or Creflo Dollar), on TV. Jumping while you watch TV is a great way to keep your mind busy, while moving your body. You will get the blood circulating, get the toxins stirred up to be carried out, and you'll have more energy to boot! Be sure to do a little stretching afterwards. If you would like in implementing these and other strategies, don't hesitate to contact me for your Free "Get Acquainted" Session today!, Again, I'm looking forward to hearing how I can support you.

How to Become Debt Free and Not Go Back

Finances- Finances, Finances. We deal with finances everyday in someway. Whether we are spending money on necessities like food, clothing, and household bills. Some of us are trying to save money to help execute a now or future plan. Many of us are planning on opening up a new business. We have questions on our business plan, theme(s) for our business, the number of employees to hire, location and marketing of our business. We have so many questions on who, what, where, when, why, and how. Sometimes it can appear to be overwhelming. So many questions, so many answers, which one(s) are right for you may not be right for someone else.To quote my wife, "Finances are a very personal thing." First and foremost shake off any fear that may present itself. I am a Christian and when I have to deal with any area of fear, I go to this scripture, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)."Simply put, God did not intend for fear to be a part of our lives. He gave us Power. Creflo Dollar says, "Power is the ability to get results." This means utilizing the authority that God has invested in us to His Glory. Love is the ability to forgive and embrace resolved matters without malice. It also means being strong so we can abound in all good works to the excellency of GOD. God has called us to be walking, talking, breathing examples of who He is. Having a Sound Mind, as my own Pastor John P. Kee states, is simply clear thinking. We have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16) so our minds are renewed in His thinking. The scripture says "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." (Ephesians 4:23-24). When we have clear thinking we can receive God's instruction and execute it effectively. This is part 1. Be sure to follow up with part 2, Finances-The Perfect Plan for You.For more information be sure to go to Seed of Abraham Christian Bookstores for the Bibles, Commentaries, Dictionaries, and other Financial Literature used for this article.

Turning Your Internet Network Marketing Failures Into Stepping Stones to Success

of the millionaires in the world went bankrupt more than once -- many of them five times -- before they found success. Edison failed at the light bulb 99 times before he succeeded with his invention. Every internet network marketing guru you have ever heard of stumbled around from one failure to the next until finally getting the formula right. How you view your failures will make or break your network marketing business. If you have a fear of failure, and have a hard time rebounding from failed attempts, then I can predict with 100% certainty that you will never succeed. On the other hand, those who try and fail and try again don't look at their earlier attempts as failures. Instead, they view them as learning experiences. It is said that experience is the best teacher. The mistake most people make is thinking that it has to be their own personal experience. Personal experience is one way to learn. And, there is no doubt that those lessons are rarely forgotten, because the "School of Hard Knocks" isn't one you want to repeat.I suggest there is a better way. The book of Proverbs tells us that if we walk with wise men, we will become wise. Who do you walk with? Whose counsel do you seek in building your internet network marketing business? Are you asking your friends and relatives who know nothing about internet network marketing what they think? Are you asking a successful network marketer from the old school for advice on your internet based business? You may as well be asking the homeless man on the street corner how to succeed in life. One of the best ways to succeed is to build a pathway of stepping stones made from the stories of others who have achieved the success you seek. Do you want to learn how to be successful at marketing? Then study Bruce Barton, John Caples, or PT Barnum (Joe Vitale has a great series on him in his the Power of Outrageous Marketing CD set).Do you want to be successful in your particular network marketing company? Then get the tapes and books that are available from the upline superstars in your business opportunity.Do you want to be successful in life in general? Then listen to people like Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins, Dennis Waitley or countless others.Do you want to have a business based on strong Christian values? Get the book of Proverbs on audio, or listen to Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth E. Hagin, Creflo Dollar, Joel Osteen, or others who speak on living by faith.I'm not suggesting you cut everyone out of your life who isn't where you want to be. But, it wouldn't hurt to cut those out of your life who drag you down. If you want to be a success at internet network marketing, or any other endeavor, for that matter, you have to develop a successful attitude. Even Abram was told to leave his family and go into a strange (unknown) country. If you don't like where you're headed, start a new path, building it out of stepping stones of success. If you don't have any yet, then use the successes of others until you have some of your own. Need some help getting started? Then click on the link in my resource box below.

The Terrifying Task of Public Speaking

Almost all business managers and executives are called on, upon occasion, to give a public presentation. And most are terrified at the prospect. It makes no difference if you have experience, there is anxiety associated with public speaking. Even in the confines of a staff meeting or small group, many are reluctant to voice their opinion. I'm sure you've all heard that public speaking ranks so high on people's list of fears that in some cases it actually ranks higher than death! How can one learn to conquer their fears and move towards tolerating, perhaps even enjoying the opportunity to speak publicly? The Speaker's ConcernsWe often believe the stakes are higher than they really are. We worry about a faux pas, factual error, or other missteps. We worry about our voice, our appearance, our manner, etc. Sometimes this anxiety and nervousness translates into physical symptoms and impairments such as vocal changes, forgetting your "lines," or a "flight" impulse. In actuality, most members of your audience are so wrapped up in their own issues that they really are not intensely interested in yours.Remember, the audience is generally sympathetic, or even supportive, to the presenter. People do not expect perfection from a presenter; generally they are just interested in obtaining information, opinion or entertainment.Speakers at their BestA few speakers actually revel in the spotlight. They often gravitate toward jobs in the media, religion, sales or politics. Some are so entrancing that their audience is almost mesmerized. Most politicians are effective in front of a crowd; if they weren't they wouldn't win elections. One current example of a great speaker is our President, Barrack Obama. President Obama is a likable and effective communicator; so were Presidents Clinton and Reagan (called the "Great Communicator"). All of these individuals enjoy a "likability" factor along with a gift for relating with their audience. It is reported that President Obama is aware of his skill and commented ("without a hint of braggadocio or conceit") to Congressman Harry Reid,..."I have a gift." (Washington Post, April 29, 2009) Preachers are particularly good orators. Most have polished their skills in front of congregations for years. The best of all are the "TV Preachers," There is a lengthy list of TV preachers, several of whom have "fallen from grace." Here are a few popular preachers: Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swaggert, Jan & Paul Crouch, Jim & Tammy Bakker, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, T.D. Jakes, Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Nov. 18, 2003, and, Yahoo! Answers, Yahoo.com-Question Index: 20080321053715AA21tXY.) They offer messages of faith, hope and redemption. They typically have unbounded energy, enthusiasm, and excellent public speaking techniques (e.g., voice, eye contact, body language, intonation, etc.). If you want to become a good motivational speaker, watch them.Other speakers are on late night TV; the "pitchmen," often earning obscene amounts of money, they sell widgets, gadgets, products and services through "infomercials." Ron Popeil, Billy Mays, Anthony Sullivan and Tony Robbins are prime examples. They use likability, humor, body language (e.g., "nodding" in agreement with their own comments), motivational techniques, etc. (CNNMoney.com as reported in Fortune Magazine, April 6, 2009.)You may not aspire to become a politician, evangelist or pitchman but you probably want to become more confident, persuasive, and effective at pubic speaking. Or you may just want to be able to stand up in front of a group without falling, or getting sick.Lessons to be LearnedWhat can we learn from these professional, expert, and highly effective speakers? Several things come to mind. First: know your audience. Are they sophisticated, or "regular folk"? Are they knowledgeable about your subject matter, looking for encouragement or consolation, action, or support? Are they men or women, religious, investors, scientists, seniors, schoolteachers, etc.? You must know who you're talking to in order to find a topic that is important to them, and to present it in a fashion that is most appropriate.Second: look the part. Whether you're selling gadgets or ideas, promoting religion, or politics, you need to "dress to impress." You've seen politicians in shirtsleeves talking with union members, or in formal wear at State functions. In other words, dress in a manner appropriate to your role, and audience. Sometimes it's a suit and tie, other times you must dress down to relate to your audience.Third: be enthusiastic and animated. Although there are some exceptions to this rule (e.g., eulogies), as is often said:   "Enthusiasm is infectious."Tips, Strategies, and ApproachesThere is so much advice to speakers available on the Internet, in books, and articles. However, the best resource may be "Toastmasters." Toastmasters is an international organization with a specific mission to help people become better speakers. There are Toastmasters Chapters practically everywhere.Toastmasters International offers advice to speakers, as well as support, and an opportunity to practice, learn techniques, gain feedback, and improve. Their advice can be summarized as: "know your material, practice, know the audience, know the room, relax, visualize..., realize that people 'want you to succeed,' don't apologize [for nervousness], concentrate on the message, and gain experience." For a more complete explanation, see: "10 Tips for Public Speaking," at www.toastmasters.org. And, of course, there are numerous additional considerations and more strategies, approaches, and techniques to be learned.A Personal NoteI confess. I've always been fearful of public speaking. (I often thought I was the only person to ever graduate from the University of Washington without saying a word! [Well, maybe one or two}). Over the years this fear has dissipated somewhat and become more manageable. My personal advice is to confront the fear, make the speech, and attempt to get better at it. Try focusing on a few "friendly" faces in the audience to help you through the process. And, if you're so inclined, take a Public Speaking class, or join Toastmasters. You will be in good company and experience a sense of accomplishment.

Recession Proof

What an extraordinary sense of freedom I had this morning after quitting my job. No thought went into my decision. The President has taught me that too much thinking can lead to indecisiveness. After turning in my precious name tag, I said farewell to my co-workers and exited the downtown clinic for the final time.My job was secure, but it left me unfulfilled like Chinese food. I felt an immense weight lifting off my shoulders while walking to the car, and I rode a wave of euphoria all the way home.I was still basking in my new found freedom when I entered my house. My wife was in the bathroom, and I could hear the shower running. After grabbing a Corona from the fridge, I flopped on the couch to watch some TV. Carlito's Way was just starting on HBO. Life was good.I was an hour and four beers into the movie when Mary made her appearance from the bathroom. I often wonder what takes women so long to accomplish in that room. I can take care of business in twenty minutes, but Mary spends over an hour in there every morning. I could shave, shit, shower, masturbate, nod out from opiate indulgence, and come back to life in less time. After thirty years of marriage, you would think that I would have given some thought to how my wife was going to respond to my early retirement. The details of life always elude me.Mary seemed surprised to see me as she exited the bathroom. "You're home," she said flatly. "What happened?"I gently placed my beer on the end table, and began to juggle answers in my head while watching Carlito threaten to kill Benny Blanco. I apprised her of the good news, but my wife's response was not very cordial."Are you out of your mind," she screamed. "What kind of idiot quits their job in the middle of a recession?"That idiot would be me. By this time, my ebullient feeling is beginning to wane, but my quick response mechanism remains intact."George Bush says this is just an economic slowdown," I explained. "I still have a stimulus check coming.""George Bush doesn't have these bills," she responded while pointing at the stack of unopened letters on the kitchen table. "How are you planning on paying those?"Mary was starting to put a damper on my enthusiasm, and her tone of voice had taken on some elevation. I thought about asking her to bring me another beer, but my self preservation instinct kicked in. My mind was racing faster than my brother could run from Mr. Stimple, our seventh grade pedophile gym teacher."I could send Kenneth Copeland a thousand dollar check, and wait for my hundred fold return," I offered.I didn't mean to pick on Kenneth Copeland. You could substitute the name of any TV word faith preacher who promises financial gain to the folks who will mail in their tithes. There's Frederick Price, Joyce Meyer, Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar, (You gotta love that name) and many others. Their Prosperity Theology preys on the poorest people while they live extravagant lifestyles with private jets and huge homes. They make God an investment banker."What's wrong with you?" Mary screamed, shattering me from my reverie. She had managed to close in on my personal space, but wasn't blocking the TV as Carlito was being set up by his old friend Pachanga."You better have a plan to get out of this," she said. Her eyes were starting to turn red at the corners, and her hands had found a solid resting place on her hips. I consider my wife the most beautiful woman in the world, and when she gets angry it turns me on like a freak at a parade. This is a paradox because making a black woman angry can be life threatening."After the movie is over, we should go to bed for a little while," I suggested. Sex is the solution to any problem unless it's fungal."Have you lost your mind," she bellowed, while poking an extremely attractive finger into my chest. Her eyes have closed to slits."How about going to the casino?" I asked, while trying to squeeze her breast. That was my final attempt to save the day.She slapped my hand away. "You better find another job real quick," she said, and headed for the bedroom.I wondered if there were any Benzos left in the kitchen drawer. I could have made some special tea and followed her to the bedroom, but sometimes you need to give a woman private time.Carlito got shot at the train station, and I spent the afternoon on the computer at Careerbuilder.

But Seek Ye First

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you"--Matthew 6:33Seek Ye First was actually my first thought for a blog title. For various reasons, I went with Walk by Faith instead. But right now, I think it's incredibly important that we make sure we have our priorities straight. God is wonderfully merciful and extravagantly generous, and He's our Father. The truth is, we weren't created to have things. We were created to be in a relationship with our Father.I think we often get the cart before the horse. We think about all of the things we want -- health, wealth, love, the stuff of this world. We make out our "honey do" list and present it to God. But, do we take the time to fellowship with Him, or do we only seem to have time to ask Him for something? In the earthly realm, we seem to understand the way things are supposed to work. We want to spend time with our friends and family. In fact, we actually develop these unspoken and sometimes unacknowledged accounting systems for our relationships. We track how many times we have called, written, visited, and compare it to how many times that's been reciprocated. We may not even do this consciously, but it does have an effect on our relationships.Don't think so? How many times have you said, or heard someone else say, "I just feel used." That's a sure sign of a relationship that isn't in balance; the scales have become tipped more in one direction than the other. So, how about your spiritual life, is it in balance?Obviously, there is no way we can balance the scales. God has given us far more than we could ever give in return; and all he asks is for us to love Him.I know, we have responsibilities. We have jobs, children, parents, pets, homes, cars, lots of stuff to do -- even our church obligations can sometimes be less about our relationship with God and more about doing a task. What is it that keep you from spending time with God?I can hardly think of anything more heartbreaking for man or God than what happened in the Garden of Eden."And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden."--Genesis 3:8Adam and Eve enjoyed a close relationship with the Father God. They were used to being in His presence on a daily basis. They walked with him in the beautiful garden he had created for them in the cool of the day. But in the blink of an eye, everything changed. Instead of looking forward to spending time with the Father, they hid themselves in fear and shame. I'm sure we can all relate to a time when we were ashamed of something we had done and tried to avoid our earthly parents. But, as special as their relationship with God must have been before the fall, isn't our opportunity even better? Now we don't just walk side-by-side with God in the garden He created for us, but He lives inside of us in the garden that we are creating with Him.I know, sometimes it doesn't seem like much of a garden. Sometimes the thorns are more prevalent than the roses. But when Jesus died for us, when he emptied himself into our cup of salvation (thanks to Susan Allen for that wonderful analogy which I'm still processing and once I've made it my own, I'll write more about it), when he emptied himself into our cup, he made it possible for the Holy Spirit to dwell within us."Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you."--John 16:7Imagine how difficult it was for the disciples to understand that anything good could come from Jesus leaving them. They walked with him, sat at his feet while he taught them the truth, ate with him, and fellowshipped with him daily. Yet, here he is telling them it's better, or expedient, for them that he leaves. Why? So that the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, could come and dwell inside of us. There can be no closer relationship than that. Our earthen vessels hold a treasure so wonderful that before Jesus's sacrifice, men died by touching the Ark of the Covenant -- the Presence of God was more than their flesh could handle. But now, we have been washed clean and made worthy -- not through anything we've done, but by what he did for us -- to be the temple of the living God. (If that's not enough to make you want to take care of your physical body, I don't know what is!)I know I'm skipping all over the place. I'll try to focus and bring this to a close. I'm taking part in a wonderful Week of Worship and Fasting this week hosted by the Fellowship of Christians. For five days, we will get together and worship and praise God. Each day has a theme. Today was "Personal Relationship". Can't think of a better starting place, since that's where it all has to start... "Seek ye first..."You know, the enemy hasn't changed his tactics. He will still come immediately after the Word has been sown and try to take it from us. He will use every trick in his book -- especially distraction. One of my very, very special four-footed friends was hit by a car just before Christmas, and is still recovering. Spot just yesterday began acting more like himself. Then tonight after service, I went back to the hospital to walk the Spotted One, and noticed that his left foot (this is the leg that was broken, and now sports an external fixator to allow the bones to heal) was cold, much colder than his right foot.My first reaction was to worry and be afraid. But, I drove home, put my ear buds in, and cranked up some Praise and Worship and sang at the top of my lungs while I walked the other dogs, fed them, fed the cats, cleaned the litter boxes, etc. And here I am, hours later, and way past my bedtime, too energized to sleep.God is good, and His mercies endure forever. It's easy to get our priorities out of whack. But, that's when trouble sets up camp in our lives."...for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."--Matthew 6:32-34God met all of my needs today, and I have no doubt that when tomorrow comes, He will meet those too in His usual extravagant manner.I was listening to Creflo Dollar the other day, and he was talking about the difference between belief and faith. He said that belief was when you believed God would do something for you. Faith was when your relationship with God didn't depend on whether or not you got what you wanted. (Loose translation)What I took away from that was, we confuse the source with the avenue. Sometimes we ask for something and when we don't get it exactly the way we thought we would, we turn our backs on God. We forget that when one river dries up, God still has more than enough water to supply our needs, He'll just channel it to us some other way.He knows what we need. We just have to know that He will provide.Thank you Father.
